Singing Histories

In 2009, Jacqui Ibbotson commissioned Folk Song expert, Tim Healey, to research songs which originated in Oxfordshire since it had been named 'Oxfordshire' in 1007, presenting the music plus a description of the history of each song. The most well known song which was first heard of the streets of Oxford was 'Early One Morning'. A publication was produced in partnership with 'Sing London', distributed to music teachers in all the schools in Oxfordshire and launched in Oxford's Central Library.
